offer the choice of the following amounts of gold (or sweets or whatever); 0.0004kg, 556mg, 0.65g or 368,000μg. Try to get across why we need prefixes
Main Body of Lesson
- Discuss the centi prefix; they will be most familiar with this prefix and should use it when applying other prefixes
- Discuss milli and kilo; again they should be familiar with these.
- Pupils to complete the table on question sheet P3002, try to get them to spot the fact the x10x goes up in 3s
