• Pupils can recognise the main circuit symbols and recreate them

Starter

• "Why do we get shocks when we get out of the car sometimes"? Put question on board and encourage pupils to give as full an answer as possible rather than just saying "static".
• Could talk about the "Anti Static Friendship Band"

Main Body of Lesson

Either:

• Finish work on static electricity which you haven't previously had time for OR
• Show pupils the circuit symbols quiz and see how many they already know. Then have them draw and write a brief description of each in their books so that they have a reference for the future OR
• Do both
