Hand back tests and go through the model answers. Ensure that pupils correct their work as they go so that they have a complete set of correct answers. Highlight common mistakes. Have pupils write down on the front of the test what parts of the topic they struggled with.

There is a prefix review grid which is a quick way of checking to see if they know all of the 8 key SI prefixes. This can be done against the clock as a challenge. You cans then do this again periodically throughout the year. If you are feeling helpful you can fill in some boxes for them.

Homework:

There are two different homeworks depending on how well pupils did in the test:

<70% - there is a review sheet which has similar questions to the test. Using their tests and their notes, pupils should complete the review sheet which acts as a retest at home. If they still fail to achieve more than 70% they should come and see you at a lunch or break time to go through what they are struggling with

>70% - there is an extension question which is based on an A-level question on projecticle motion. This should help to test the stronger pupils. I suggest not telling them that it is an A-level question until they hand it back in the following lesson so that they don't instantly give up on it.
