Class Experiment 1

Recalling or by collecting new data, the pupils should have an I v V graph for a lamp. They can use the area under the graph to calcualte the power of the lamp an different values of V.

The pupils should also appreciate why a lamp 'uses' more power when it is turned on P=I^2.R and why it is more likely to get damaged when it is turned on. Questions can also be given to do with transformers and link it to the efficiency of the transformer.
