Demonstration 1

Using PASCO kit (low frequency a.c. voltage), it should be possible to trace out I - V Characterist graphs for a metal wire at constant temperature, a filament lamp and semiconductor diode.

Resources

Analysis

Using the laptops, it should be possible to save the data and print the graphs, or alternatively to export the data and plot graphs in excel, which can then be printed out and kept.

Safety

Class Experiment 1

To take and plot charateristic data for an LDR and thermistor.

Resources

Analysis

Using a light meter, it should be possible to plot a resistance - intensitiy graph for the LDR. For the thermistor, it should be possible to plot a graph of resistance against temperature.
