Demonstration 1

Charging by induction. Either by using a gold foil electroscope and a chaged polythene rod or by using two metal spheres and a charged polythene rod. With the latter, you place the two metal spheres (which are insulated from the table) together so that they touch. Charge the polythene rod and place it very close to one of the spheres, without touching. Whilst the rod is close to the sphere, remove the other sphere by its base. Use a nanocoulombmeter to measure the different polarities and magnitudes of charge.
