Class Experiment 1
Water droplets. Create a pearl stream of water droplets and fire them horizontally. Use a strobe to 'freeze' the droplets with the lights out. Graph paper shoudl be put on a board behind the droplets map out their position. A LASER can be used to create a nice effect.
Resources
To help discussion: vertical motion and components of motion
Analysis
Use the position of the dots on the board to plot 4 graphs. Firstly x-displacement vs t and y-displacement vs t. From this data Vx vs t and Vy vs t can be drawn; the former can be used to show that Vx is constand and the latter can be used to show that the acceleration = 9.91 m/s/s.
Equipment
1x droplet maker, 1x strobe, 1x pin board, graph paper, pins and 1x LASER

Monkey and hunter.
Resources
Monkey and hunter explained This Web site is a good demonstartion of the action is slow motion.
Analysis
Use the web site to obtain values or use this to start a discussion on the independence of motion at right angles.
Equipment
1x magnetic monkey 1x cannon
